NAMI Louisiana offers free, peer-led NAMI Connection support groups to any adult living with mental illness. It is a recovery support group led by trained mentors who are personally experienced at recovery and living well with mental illness. Participants learn from each others' experiences, share coping strategies, and offer encouragement and understanding. You may learn of new resources and gain knowledge and confidence in dealing with your mental illness.

This virtual group meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. via Zoom and limited to a maximum of 10 attendees. Register below to receive the Zoom/call-in information emailed to you.

In 2020, we are celebrating 18 years of NAMIWalks, the nation's largest series of mental health awareness and fundraising events. We invite you to join us for any of our 115+ community walks. NAMIWalks is a fun, family-friendly event and there is no cost to register.

There are many ways you can make a difference via NAMIWalks: as a sponsor, committee member, team captain or team member, individual walker, virtual walker, or walk day volunteer!

With access to almost anything at one’s fingertips, the internet has become a phenomenon that has changed the way humans behave and view the world. Unfortunately, social media has its negative consequences. Since the birth of this new digital age, social media has created negative effects on the mental health of those who frequently use it.
